Taiwan Introduces Super Tiny Chips

Currently most of the laptop weighs about 1.5 pounds. However, the presence of a super-tiny chip smaller even than a human fingernail would make the laptop weighing only 0.5 pounds.

Super tiny chip was developed by scientists at the National Nano Device Laboratories, Taiwan. The scientists claim that they have successfully bone more electronic transistor into a chip than any other chip developers.

"Various electronic gadgets such as mobile phones and laptops can be smaller, lighter and cheaper thanks to this technology," claims Yang Fu-liang, head of the lab. Concerning to the space between electronic transistor on a chip. The smaller the space, the more transistors can be suited on to the chip. Super tiny chip was developed with 16 nanometer technology.
