Introduced Chrome OS
Google is officially showing off Google Chrome operating system in the press conferences in Mountain View, California, USA, and introduced the concept of Chrome operating system working in 2D animation. Chrome OS is built on a web Chrome platform that was released by Google. This system is designed, so all systems with the web-based computing concepts can be connected either and accessed from a PC, laptop or mobile device via internet connections. It looks like Chrome browser, the top is a tab that contains the menu of instant messaging, instant video, e-mail, music player and documents. Explanation of the concept animation was released on YouTube.
Google Chrome OS is an open source, lightweight operating system that will initially be targeted at netbooks. Later this year we will open-source its code, and netbooks running Google Chrome OS will be available for consumers in mid 2010. Because we're already talking to partners about the project, and we'll soon be working with the open source community, we wanted to share our vision now so everyone understands what we are trying to achieve.
Google Chrome OS is a new project, separate from Android. Android was designed from the beginning to work over a variety of devices from phones to netbooks. Google Chrome OS is being made for people who spend most of their time on the web, and is being designed to power computers ranging from small netbooks to
large desktop systems. While there are areas where Google Chrome OS and Android overlap, we consider choice will drive innovation for the benefit of everybody, including Google. This new operating system built to satisfy users who can not escape from the Internet and this built from a web browser platform. Such users typically require access to a web browser and online service as quickly as possible without a long boot to turn on the computer. This software requires a low hardware specifications and can quickly booting.
